Ryan gave some specifics on what they desired for their family blog. In his own words, he said, "...our family is composed of Ryan, Eunice, Spencer, and Tyler. Our initials spell "REST". That's just about the last thing we get around to it seems, but one of the things we most savor when we get it. To capture that tension, we wanted to call our blog 'RESTfull / RESTless: the adventures of Ryan, Eunice, Spencer and Tyler' ". So I found 2 photos that seemed to exemplify that tension. They wanted the photos to have an artistic feel and that is why it looks like a canvas image.

everything is sacred
The title of Lisa's blog is explained well by the quote by Martin Luther in her sidebar. She wanted her header to show all the things that exemplify her life as a wife and mother. These icons were a perfect fit!

Mommy knows Breast
A few months ago I designed a header for Liz. She has since started a new blog about the joys and frustrations of breastfeeding & pumping...I know there is plenty to talk about with that subject! She wanted me to incorporate old milk bottles in this new design and this is what I came up with...I am really pleased with how it turned out!

Gospel@SiliconValley
Drew is a pastor in the Silicon Valley area. I chose to use 4 images that represent the area and are inviting to the blog's readers. He wanted the header to welcome conversation without being too corporately sterile.

My 12 Stones
Spain will soon be the home to Keri (great name, by the way) from My 12 Stones. She wanted to incorporate a spanish flair to her header. I liked the idea of using a Spanish style door to represent the many opportunities that she and her family will be facing as they transition to their new life in Spain. She also loves the beach and loved those flowers (taken from another image). Putting it all together resulted in a great Mediterranean feel in her header with vibrant color!

Making our Mark
Tabatha had a good idea of what she wanted. She gave me some color choices she wanted me to work with and wanted to incorporate handprints to go along with her new blog title. I decided to use silhouettes to represent her two cute kids.
the latest thing
MM wanted to use a fun pattern for her header. the possibilities were numerous! the final product is cute and fun...and fits her just right!

Coastal Views
This mother of 4 boys lives on the Florida coast. Obviously, they spend a lot of time at the beach and she wanted this shown in her header. She loves to read and write and when she came up with her new blog title, "Coastal Views", I thought it fit her perfectly!
Alabama Momma
Sarah is living in Hawaii currently but she is an Alabama girl at heart. She wanted to show this series of photos of herself in her header to start the story of her "Autoblography". When I saw a photo of her wedding cake where each layer of the cake was a different bright color of icing, I knew her header needed to be colorful!

colored with memories
Kerry was the lucky winner of a blog header giveaway hosted by my friend at Lots of Scotts! It was fun collaborating with her and coming up with this design. Each photo in this header is a photo taken by Kerry, each with special meaning. I love how personal the photo's are to their family and you can read about it here.
the barnas in real life
This family just became a family of five after adopting a sweet little girl from China. Their previous blog was all about the adoption process and so they wanted to make a change since the adoption has happened...yay! These adorable wooden people were custom painted for the Barnas and I love the bright colors in the photo...And their little girl has definitely made their lives more colorful! (thanks to Katie for the photography!)

A Family of Riches
Liz knew exactly what she wanted. For their Christmas card last year, they did a play on words "Par Rich in a pear tree" (their son's name is Par). So we used the pear tree in the header along with a small image of a dog and baby crawling...both representing the Rich family!

Living Beyond the Diaper Pale
This Californian client had lots of great ideas to work with. She wanted a funky, folksy feel to her header incorporating the things that she loves. Gardening is one of her passions and she also is hoping to have some hens soon!
In case any of you are curious about the spelling of "pale"...here is her explanation (so clever!):
To "live beyond the pale" means to live outside of the box or live outside of the rules (sort of). It comes from Latin; Pale means "stick". The pale/stick delineated a boundary around a town or village, so if you lived beyond the pale, you were beyond the boundaries of society. And of course diaper pail is a diaper pail. So living beyond the diaper pale means to live beyond the confines of diaper duty :-)
Life Together
Brea wanted something simple for her header and wanted the title to stand out. I really like how this image of the eggs in the nest exemplifies "life together".
a bit behind
Katie, a mother of 4, is a busy girl. yet despite the demands of motherhood, she is starting her own photography business (she took the photo in the header)! This is her personal blog which she also uses to showcase her photography.
Mommy Esq.
Mommy, Esq. is now a stay at home mom of three after working as a lawyer. She wanted to show that in her header by using a scale of justice....and I added her three cute children on the scale.

affordable blog design
Beyond the busyness of being a mother, I have somehow found some time to
design blog headers. It's a fun outlet for me and it helps keep my creative
juices flowing. I've worked as a graphic designer for the past 11 years and
since i've become a stay at home mom, I've been doing some freelance work
at home.
This site will be used to give you a sample of some headers I have created.
If you are in need of a spruced up blog, please email me...I would love to help
you out!
